We’ve been running a weather station at Fforest in Brechfa for sometime using a Campbell Scientific CR1000 data logger, and Real Time monitoring software. We decided to make the live and historic data publicly available for anyone who might find it useful or interesting.
Rainfall is measured using a tipping bucket rain gauge. The figure displayed is the amount of rain recorded in the last 10 minutes. It may look small, but if you see 0.1mm, that equates to 14.4 mm (about 1/2″) per day, if it rains continuously at that rate.
Three day graphs of wind speed and temperature are displayed. Long term data are being stored in our records, and we would be happy to share that information on request.
