Solar Wheel veterans, Bobby and Felix, worked closely with RWE to Install a Zephyr LIDAR and renewable power supply on the Gwynt Y Mor MET Mast as part of the ongoing wind monitoring campaign.
The work required considerable planning and creativity to safely lift the equipment including Trogan AGM batteries, 2 Ampair wind generators, Photo Voltaic modules and all cabinets and control equipment.
A cordless electromagentic pillar drill was utilised to drill fixing points into the sub structure to secure the new cabinets.
